19th Century French Gothic Black and Gilt Wrought Iron Four-Light Chandelier

About the Item

This intricate antique iron light fixture was forged in France circa 1870. Round in shape, the Gothic chandelier features a circular crown decorated with acanthus leaf and rose flower motifs in high relief around the perimeter. The tall chandelier has the original four double twisted chains connected to a decorative top crown. The Medieval style fixture has four forged arms with lights newly wired, and dressed with decorative candle sleeve covers. The medieval, old world chandelier is in excellent condition and adorns the original patinated black iron finish with gilt accents throughout. The elegant fixture would make a wonderful statement in an entryway, a den or over a breakfast room table. Measures: 32" Diameter 51" Height.
