American 19th Century 3 Arm Gas Chandelier

An important American Gasolier in the Egyptian Revival Style, that has never been electrifed, with original period acid etched globes, with a central Sandwich Glass globe in the Egyptian taste, Fixtures similar to this have been seen in American Interior Paintings which show a chandelier hanging over a center table, with the family pulling the lamp down by the brass ball finial to lower and read under the light in the evening, fixtures with this type of pulley system are most rare, shown below is the interior of a Vanderbilt home in NY
