Stunning bowl alabaster chandelier with a perfect rope and canopy. Thanks to its practical size, its unique handcarved design and superb condition this alabaster chandelier will light up both your days and evenings. What makes this particular chandelier stand out from most of the alabaster pendants that we have seen and sold over the years, are the amazing, white and the many translucent veins and patches in this marvelous shade. Together they make this antique chandelier a true spectacle and a joy to look at. The quality carved grape bunches and grape leafs around the top of this timeless pendant make this classy antique even more worldly and refined. Thanks to the original rope this finer quality pendant hangs perfectly balanced and the stylish rope also gives this pendants its extra serene look and feel. It must have taken a highly skilled artisan a whole lot of time to first draw and then perfectly hand-create this unique pendant. For it to still be in this good condition after more than 100 years is like an ode to his craftsmanship. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this shade and you would still not get a good idea of the tranquil beauty and class that this alabaster chandelier radiates. In real life (or in person) our antiques always have that little bit more and this stunning pendant is no exception. By the way, this stunning shade is so structurally sound that it even rings like a bell when you strike it. Have you also noticed the bronze rosette-suspension points? Both with the light on and off this striking pendant will never go unnoticed. The mint alabaster canopy is like the icing on the cake and this chandelier is now rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well. It will easily take a bulb of up to 120 watts, but we would go with circa 80 watts, because this will suffice (in our photos we used a 75 watt bulb). Thanks to the metal hook inside the canopy, mounting this unique chandelier should take no more than a few minutes.
