About the Item
A high quality Directoire chandelier. All arms, candleholders and central stem are cast in bronze and then gilt. The quality of the craftsmanship is of the highest level. The crystals are beautifully arranged around the chandelier and also these are of the highest quality. This is a rare type of chandelier to find in this condition. Most chandeliers from this period were made with simpler materiel and a much simpler crystals.
The proportions are beautiful and all details of this chandelier are so well worked out.
