Late 1800s French work-of-art light fixture.
This unique and stately pendant from the late 1800s is another one of those exceptional examples that breathes the quality and beauty of the light fixtures that were handcrafted in those days. Luckily former owners have all recognized and respected that quality and beauty which is one of the reasons why this strikingly golden antique pendant with its art glass shade still is in such remarkable condition. Both the good size canopy with its grapes theme and the striking shade holder with its three lion mask sculptures are made of solid bronze. The gilding still is in superb condition as well. So much so, that one might think that this entire pendant is made of gold. With the lion symbol known for its majesty, strength, courage and justice, we could think of a few people for whom this could be the perfect antique fixture to grace their living space.
