Art Deco Black Veined Alabaster and Brass Pendant Light, ca 1920
About the Item
Antique French Art Deco black veined cloudy or dark white alabaster pendant light fixture.
A superb alabaster pendant ceiling light fixture from circa 1920. This richly veined and beautifully carved alabaster bowl is suspended by three chains and an adorable matching alabaster ceiling canopy. In the center of the alabaster bowl, there is a carved flower.
The light shining through the stone with dark veins is atmospheric and it emanates a beautiful ambiance both when lit and unlit.
One new socket for E27 (E26) size light bulb.
Dimensions: height: circa 50 cm / 19.68 in; diameter: 35 cm / 13.77 in. The diameter of the canopy is 12 cm / 4.72 in.
In good condition with slight signs of use and some typical signs of aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is installed by a qualified electrician.
