About the Item

In a very quiet, respectful ceremony behind the closed door of the Decorum workshop, Monsieur Degue (the bowl) and Monsieur Georges Leleu (the metalwork) were joined in union. There was no the objection to the query "And should there be any objection to this union, may that person speak now or forever hold his/her peace." To the contrary, there was polite applause from the congregation of over 100 chandeliers on the showroom floor once the happy couple hit that deck. One Schneider chandelier was heard to cattily remark: "My, I've just got BUTTERFLIES in MY bowl." The shade is signed (image #4) and the Leleu monture has been rechromed (it's solid brass or bronze, of course) and patinated so as not to have that "born yesterday" look which, ahem, you might find from some other sources. There are two standard-based American sockets in the interior, each capable of holding a bulb of any wattage you might choose. All the wiring has been replaced and is new, ready to serve you for another 100 years.
