Colorful Vintage Fixture Moorish Arches and Trinity Star, Mid 1920s
About the Item
Colorful and vintage globe with keystone or Moorish arches and Trinity stars along the bottom the milk glass. The globe would date to the 1920's when there was a very strong European influence in design and architecture of that period.
This is one of two similar, this one has a clear layer of glass on the outside of the globe. This process of layer glass is known as "cased". It adds a bit a depth to the globe when lit as the edges of the clear glass layer reflects the light in a different way. You can see some of the reflected light on the backdrop of some of the images.
This design of fixtures were typically found in churches but now are a wonderful way to add some color and style to today's kitchens, baths, and bedrooms.
Shown on a new polished nickel fitter with other fitters available.
Measures: Drop as shown: 21inches which can be adjusted.
