Deutsch Style Chandelier in Imari Porcelain and Gilt Bronze, circa 1900
About the Item
Deutsch style chandelier with six lights in Imari porcelain and gilt bronze mount. Lighting with five fires on five arm lights.
Shaft constituted with two balusters topped by a porcelain cup with a red and blue Imari decor, decorated with flowers and foliage in cartouches.
Gilt bronze mounts decorated with acanthus leaves, gadroons and fleur-de-lis between balusters on which five wounded arm lights, decorated with a lion head holding in its mouth a ring with a porcelain ball finished by a gilt bronze spinning top, come to fix on it.
Porcelain cup topped by a bronze bobeche crowned by a glass part.
Sphere shaped Imari porcelain bottom. Central gilt bronze mount with a decor of palm leaves and fleur-de-lis, finished by a mount with a decor of stylized foliage and a twisted ring where a similar porcelain acorn hangs.
Work realized, circa 1900.
