Referencing battle helmets and traditional Indian jewelry, Jung- which translates to war in Urdu- plays with the duality of masculinity and femininity in form, creating a formidable yet delicate impact in the space it inhabits.
Available in two standard sizes, they work well individually or in large groups, providing lighting solutions for bedrooms or dining areas, above island countertops and hallways
Durbar, or the Royal Court in Urdu, explores and draws influence from the cross cultural exchanges between India and the West, in particular architecture, jewelry, textiles and decorative objects. Researching these objects led to a much deeper understanding of how Indian craft has had a substantial impact on global design, particularly in the last century. This influence has either been filtered out of the narrative, undocumented or acculturated to suit Western ideas of what it means to be Indian.
Through Durbar, INDO- reclaims and celebrates elements of Indian craft along with its influence on global design. Each product in the collection has a unique name, referencing the inspiration behind it.

INDO-
INDO- is an award winning interdisciplinary design studio based in Providence, RI. Founded in 2018 by Urvi Sharma and Manan Narang - both grew up in New Delhi and met at the Rhode Island School of Design - INDO- is a product of experiencing both places and cultures. Using a layered design process, incorporating personal narrative, traditional craft and modern ways of making into the work, INDO- creates products that connect with their audience in an increasingly diasporic world while embodying unique identities with the stories they tell. The studio aims to share the rich cultural and historical identities its founders bring with them as Indian designers to the continuously evolving landscape of American design. Our products are made to order in our RI studio - alongside a network of trusted local and regional vendors - and can be customized in size, material and finish to suit a wide range of projects. Our clients include top-tier interior design and architecture firms such as NICOLEHOLLIS, RIOS, Chango & Co, Studio DB and Shawn Henderson Interior Design working on residential and commercial projects worldwide. INDO- has been featured in multiple publications including The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Interior Design Magazine, and Dwell. Our work has also received numerous awards and recognitions including the Dwell 24, NYCxDesign Emerging Product Designer and Female Design Council + NICOLEHOLLIS Grant Honoree.
