Exceptional Bauhaus Pendant Lamp by Adolf Meyer for Zeiss Ikon, 1930s, Germany

About the Item

Unique Bauhaus or Modernist pendant lamps. Designed by Adolf Meyer in 1920s and manufactured by Zeiss Ikon, in 1920s-1930s, Germany. On one of the glass shades is the mark of the maker most visible: ZEISS IKON. JZ 51 NR.1 C7 (see the last image). These extremely rare pendant lamps are executed in massive brass sheet and mirrored glass shades. Each lamp is executed with an E40 bulb holder which can be reduced to E27 – if needed – due to an adapter. Max. 500W. They run both on 110/230 Volt. Three identical pendant lamps are available! Measurements: H 16.54 in. (42 cm) DM 13.39 in. (34 cm) Pending height 39.37 in. (100 cm) Condition: Good original vintage condition. Wear consistent with use and age. Brass with typical oxidation/patina.
