About the Item

This unique French Art Deco bronze palm chandelier features a captivating and warm gilt bronze finish, with six flowing arms in a beautiful tropical arrangement. Each feather arm is decorated with beautifully shaped white opaline glasses. Adding to the distinctive charm, these opaline shades are held by six palm leaf arms that gracefully slope downward and outward like a lily or a waterfall. The heavy bronze central stem that culminates in a ball-shaped finial is finely crafted and of excellent quality and detail. This palmette masterpiece is completed by matching stylized details throughout the stem, creating a harmonious visual symphony. These geometric motifs typify the period of French design, inspired by the 1925 Paris exhibition entitled the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, dedicated to the exhibition of modern decorative arts.
