French Chandelier w/ frosted art glass panels + nickeled bronze frame J. Robert

About the Item

An original French Art Deco molded art glass chandelier comprising four panels plus a square center. The panels are created using a frosted process with polished areas producing glossy highlights giving the glass extra depth and presence. Each panel features a scalloped border with a central pyramidal, triangular "A" motif design set against a fluted, linen-fold, sunrise backdrop. These elements are mounted within the original and decorative nickeled bronze mount, which matches the motif of the glass and showcases a uniquely presented canopy set at an angle. The nickel is original and has a very nice sheen. attributed to J. Robert , signed FRANCE J. Robert is the pseudonym for Jean Gauthier (Etablissement Jean Gauthier), based on the location of his first workshop at 12-14 rue Jean Robert in Paris, France. Gauthier later expanded to the town of Ezanville. Jean Gauthier is well known for making table lamps, ceiling lights and chandeliers. The chandelier measures 18" wide when measured diagonally. Can be used in any setting eg: bedroom, hallway, foyer, entry, library, study, kitchen, dining room, child's room, lodge, chalet, country house and with any style eg: Hollywood Regency, Art Deco, Traditional, Transitional, Arts and Crafts, Mission, Tribal, Mediterranean, Boho Chic, Mid century, Rustic European, Italian design, Asian, African, Bauhaus...
