French Gilt Bronze Chandelier

About the Item

Very important chandelier in gilt bronze, with six arms of lights, scrolls, and foliage, each supporting three oil lamps adorned with crystal bowls carved with diamond point pattern. Foliage decorations. Mounted to electricity. French work around 1880-1900. Chandelier from the Board Room of the National Society of French Railways, located at the time in the famous station Le Gare de Saint Lazare in Paris. Original gilding (matte and burnished gold). Dimensions: Height 258 cm. Wingspan 245 cm.
