French neoclassical bronze and alabaster chandelier
French, early 20th Century
Measures: Height 100cm, diameter 53cm
The chandelier is crafted from veined alabaster and bronze in the Neoclassical style. The piece features an alabaster bowl, which is deftly carved from alabaster in a manner that reveals its lustrous veining. The bowl of the chandelier is supported by a bronze belt moulded with a frieze, which in turn is suspended from bronze chains from a ceiling mount.
