Italian Modern Floral 1940s-1950s Chandelier
About the Item
A marvelous, cheerful and optimistic example of post war mid-1940s to early 1950s lighting design. The body of the chandelier is made in brass with white enamel metal flower bud and leaf accents. Each arm supports a dish with three curved cone socket holders and three white enamel removable curled leaves sprouting from in-between the lights. Small enamel flower bud at the end of a curved branch on each arm. Original chain, ceiling canopy and sticker from the store the chandelier was purchased in Rome. Sticker reads "Electicita Radio, Via Esquilino 40, Roma." Candelabra bulbs required. Nine lightt. Newly polished, lacquered and re-wired. Showplace antique and design center, 40 West 25th Street, New York City, NY 10010.
