Italian Six-Light Crystal Basket Chandelier from the Early 20th Century
About the Item
An Italian crystal six-light chandelier from the early 20th century. This exquisite Italian crystal chandelier features a delightful vertical silhouette. A metal armature is the support for the abundant variety of crystals. The elegant vertical upper structure, made of latticed beaded crystals, comes to rest on the basket part of the chandelier, providing a more horizontal visual development. The basket part is adorned with various crystals, including spears and Swedish drops. The six scrolled arms emerge from the central ring, and support the crystal bobeches and authentic wax sleeves. This Italian chandelier circa 1920-1930 has been newly wired for the US and is ready to be hung! With its delicate elegance and profusion of decor, it still manages to exude certain airiness. It would brighten any room beautifully.
