Large Art Deco Design Skyscraper Globe, Circa 1930
About the Item
Very nice Black Art Deco stenciled design fired onto the milk glass body of this globe. Another interpretation of rebirth with what could be seen as new growth coming forth from the soil with the ground portrayed as the two solid black horizontal lines at their base. The curve of the eight rounded lobes circling the globe are also incorporated a couple of times into the artwork. Classic Art Deco and a very pleasing overall design which does not come along very often.
Great for today's kitchens, bathrooms or entryway where some panache is desired.
Artwork in very good condition with little paint loss or fading. No noticeable chips, no cracks in globe.
Vintage globe shown on a new nickel plated fitter with the height of just the globe is 16 inches.
Measures: total overall drop as shown: 28 1/4 inches.
Width of globe: 9 1/2 inches
Rewired to UL standards including code required ground wire.
