Mid-Century Modernist Pendant with Etched Glass and Chrome Fittings by Kinkeldy
About the Item
This elegant Mid-Century Modernist cube pendant was produced circa 1950 by the renowned Austrian maker Kinkeldy. Each side features four glass panels etched with an elaborate starburst pattern resembling an abstracted and illuminated woodcut print of the sun. The various panels are fastened together at the seams with chrome fittings. The fixture is suspended from the canopy by a chrome rod that can be adjusted to suit. This is an exceptional example of Mid-Century Modernist design by one of the great lighting studios of the period- exquisitely crafted, versatile, and stunning. A pair of these is available.
