Modernist Hand Blown Plum Hued Murano Glass Chandelier with Chrome
About the Item
This stunning modernist chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy, the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features six graduated tiers consisting of hand blown Murano glass with opaque centers and translucent surrounds, realized in a rich plum hue. The discs attach to a chrome frame and are suspended from a canopy of the same material. With its beautiful glass quality and clean modernist lines, this chandelier would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates eight Edison based bulbs providing up to 800 watts of light.
