Pair Large 1970s Italian Venetian Glass Gilt 24-Bulb Belle Epoque Chandeliers
About the Item
An outrageous pair of Venetian glass chandeliers of large proportions hand painted with gold and black decoration. A fantastic opportunity to buy a pair of flamboyant chandeliers, bought from a grand hotel foyer on the south coast of England.
Comprising 24 incised polished aluminium arms radiating from the centre, each supporting a frosted glass stylized flower, from which hang 6 delicate drops. The chandelier is finished underneath by a glass bowl with black and gold decoration, and are hung from sturdy welded black Japanned chains. Currently fitted with forty-eight UK and European 3.6 watt LED light bulbs.
Sympathetically cleaned, polished and electrically tested. There is a petal missing off one of the flowers, and a small crack on one of the inner flowers (see last image), but other than that little bit of damage, they are in wonderful condition.
