Pair of Antique Bronze Figural Hanging Flower Basket Ceiling Light Fixtures
About the Item
This pair of very substantial and unique ceiling lights were most likely produced in the United States during the early 1900s in the Art Deco style of the period. The frame of these ceiling fixtures are cast in bronze and mimic ropes of the hanging baskets. The basket frame itself is also cast bronze and the outsides are decorated with polychrome painted flowers and leaves. The inside of the flower baskets are done in a curved slag glass with caramel marbling as are the bottoms. No foundry or maker's marks have been identified, so the maker of these fixtures is unknown.
