Space Age Sputnik Atomium Glass Chandelier by Cosack, Germany, 1970s
About the Item
High quality lamp with 16 glass bodies made by Cosack, Germany in the 1960s. The chandelier is made of chrome-plated metal and very nicely shaped glass. The clear glass has small air inclusions. Gem from the time. With this light you make a clear statement in your interior design. A real eye-catcher even unlit.
The Cosack Bros. company was founded in Neheim-Hüsten, Germany by Egon, Friedrich and Theodor Cosack together with Gottliebe Tappe. Gebrüder Cosack (Gecos) received 15 iF Design Awards.
Model: Atomium, Sputnik.
Style: Motoko Ishii, Staff, mid century, modernist.
Colors: clear and chrome.
Materials: glass and metal.
Measures: diameter 25.6" in. (65 cm), body height 15.75" in. (40 cm), total height incl. suspension 31.5" in. (80 cm).
Lighting: takes 16 small Edison E14 base screw bulbs.
Wattage: we recommend up to 40w per bulb. Works on 220v as well as 110v.
Condition: very good vintage condition.
Wiring: the lamp has been tested with US American light bulbs under 120v and works flawlessly, no tools or rewiring required. All our goods are originally wired for 220v. Delivery without bulbs.
Shipping: in order to ensure safe transport, the lamp will be dismantled and carefully packed. Assembly required. We recommend expedited shipping, only.
