Stunning Antique Circa 1901 Gibson Gas Fixture Works Chandelier

About the Item

One of the jewels of our collection and the finest American early electric fixture we have ever had. Made by Gibson Gas Fixture works of Philadelphia, it is cataloged in their 1901 catalog. See images. This was an high end fixture Beaux Arts fixture when made and would have been a custom order from the Gibson catalog. Original stained glass center urn is in immaculate condition with no chips and illuminates with a light in the center as it was originally designed. Antique pulled feather art glass shades are American and unsigned. Attributed to either, Steuben, Quezal or Durand. Faux gas keys on arm ends are actually electric switches (non functioning due to CSA certification) which was a luxury feature in the early 1900s. This would be a center piece to any room and is a rare find in this day and age. Truly indicative of the gilded age and the opulence of the time. 60 watts max E26 Edison Base --LED compatible 41" total length - Can be lengthened 28" diameter PLEASE CONTACT US WITH ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING CONDITION OR SHIPPING
