Vintage ceiling lamp or wall lamp by Kaiser Idell / Kaiser Leuchten, 1960s A beautiful vintage ceiling lamp with a glass shade made of special ice glass. The glass is of high quality and has a special texture that spreads the light in a beautiful way. Suitable for the ceiling, but can also be mounted on the wall. The size of the lamp is 55x55cm so quite large. Made by Kaiser Leuchten, in Germany around the 1960s. The company was founded by Hermann Kaiser in 1863 in Neheim Germany. In the beginning, the company was focused on producing nickel and copper lamp parts for the existing lamp factories. The development of a very cheap kerosene lamp made of tin led to the commercial breakthrough. Later on, the brand started to be known for their Kaiser Idell series, beautiful lamps that have been produced since the 1930s and are known for their typical Bauhaus style. These vintage items are still extremely popular today.
