1950s Italian Brass Floor Lamp with Opaline Cesendello Glass

A tall, straight up Italian 1950's floor lamp having a round marble base, brass shaft the upper half of which is enameled black and double inverted cross-hatch embellished opaline glass spiral cylinders which suggest a reference to colorful silk lanterns of Venice (cesendello), a playful reinterpretation of its Renaissance and Oriental influences.
