Art Nouveau Floor Lamp in Cherry Wood by Paul Follot, France, circa 1920
About the Item
Superb floor lamp in blond cherry wood composed of a molded round base and a tapered shaft, enhanced with decorative elements in gilded bronze with stylized floral motifs.
The whole is mounted with a red and gold colored umbrella dome lampshade, with long fringes and abstract floral motifs.
Art Nouveau, France, circa 1920.
By Paul Follot (1877-1958), French decorator who distinguished himself in Art Nouveau and Art Deco. His works are notably exhibited at the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
In very good condition. Restored base, new finish. Electricity redone. New lampshade.
