'Cedar' Floor Lamp a Tribute to the Tree Symbol of Lebanon
About the Item
‘Cedar’ is a light designed in one very clean stroke, like calligraphy in space. Its sculptural steel spirals are functionally evocative of the symbol of Lebanon, where Charles Kalpakian was born in 1982. With a good grounding in street culture, Charles Kalpakian has retained the physical posture of graph to design this limited edition floor lamp. He offers here a reinterpretation of an iconic motif from Lebanese history and geography, filtered by urban and contemporary culture.
