Floor lamp with methacrylate diffuser to give a warm spread light through two sources of light. One indirect light and one diffused light. Simple, elegant, functional, instantly recognizable for its name and silhouette for the association with the famous brand of pencils.
Pierluigi Cerri graduated from the Politecnico University in Milan and has a long and wide-ranging career. In 1974 he co-founded Gregotti Associati, with whom he won many architectural competitions. In 1998, together with Alessandro Colombo, he founded the Studio Cerri & Associati. The long list of projects he collaborated in include the renovation of Palazzo Marino alla Scala and Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation in Milan – National Ance-In/Arch National award in 2016; corporate identity for Lingotto in Turin, Italia’90, Pirelli, Salone del Mobile in Milan, the MART Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto, Triennale in Milan, Prada America’s Cup, Geno- va04 European Capital for the Culture, City Life, interiors and livery of the new NTV high-speed trains, layout of Shanghai Italian Center Pavilion at Expo 2010. In 2017 he designed the exhibition Inside Caravaggio at Palazzo Reale in Milan, and he created the project of the new de- sign of the arrivals at the Milano Linate Airport.

With 50 years of experience in the business world, including over 35 years in design production and distribution, Carlo Guglielmi decided to create Firmamento Milano. Carlo Guglielmi’s goal is to create a catalogue with a collection of products strongly independent of what the market may be demanding. A collection inspired by a deeply-rooted culture of design. Located in Milan, Italy, Gugliemi says that “Milan has always been the capital of a powerful industrial and commercial network, and today it is recognized worldwide as a vital hub of culture, art, creativity, and innovation.” For this reason, the city’s name has contributed to the title of Gugliemi’s company, in order to reflect the city and its values. With that in mind, Carlo Gugliemi wanted to include the name ‘Firmamento,’ due to its meaning "the firmament above us, the sky sparkling with ideas, dreams, values, architects, and beauty.” Today, these values are an essential part of Firmamento Milano, which they want everyone who collaborates with them to share.
