About the Item
Giancarlo Mattioli 'MT' Lamp for Sirrah, Italy 1969. Innovative design which can both be used as a table or floor lamp do to its size and light orientation. The lamp is constructed from white lacquered aluminium shutters and a large half sphere shade, the shutters create a nice indirect light and spreads the light in a balanced and atmospheric way. Illuminated with one E-27 central light source, providing a rhythmic almost kinetic light distribution and play of shadow. Literature: Repertorio del design Italiano 1950 - 1980: page 166 / Lamps 1968-1973: New Italian design, Fulvio Ferrari e Napoleone Ferrari, Allemandi editore numer 143. In excellent original condition.
