Important "Backslider" floor lamp designed by Cedric Hartman in 1966 for Jack Lenor Larsen, Pandora, Kirchberg, Switzerland. This great modernist icon has a minimalist curved teleskoping chromed steel stem, a tent form shade with original bulb and a rectangular solid brass base as counterbalance which enables to adjust position and height. Marked at the bottom of base " Cedric Hartman, Made in Switzerland for Jack Lenor Larsen Inc. , Serial No. 1 , 220 V , 40 W. Measure: Maximum height is 124 cm / 48.82 inches. Fine working condition, minor wear consistent with age and use, see detailed pictures.
