Vintage Italian Space Age Floor Lamp in Chromed Metal with "Flying Saucer" Shade
About the Item
This is a vintage floor lamp in stainless steel, chrome and painted metal. The flying saucer-like shade in painted in cream white, and clearly identifies the piece as a Space Age manufact. A smaller, chromed metal disc underneath the shade helps diffuse the light.
The fixture is not signed, yetit is reminiscent of several pieces from the era, including lamps from famed designer Goffredo Reggiani. it is extremely well preserved, has been lightly polished with a metal scrubber to give it back its original shine, and is in perfect working condition - the wire, plug and switch are all original, and the standard is European (220-240V).
