XXL and exceptional condition, Midcentury Modern flush mount.
If you are looking for a truly large size and great condition, Midcentury light to grace your living space then this stunning specimen from the 1950s could be perfect for you. This work of (lighting) art is another one of our recent, wonderful finds and we are certain it will complete someone's interior soon, because it really has everything going for it. As you can see, the extra large, midcentury stylish and almost flat glass shade comes with a double golden lining all around, but what really takes this three-light fixture to the next level are the decorations. They are unlike anything you will have ever seen and not only because of their aesthetic beauty. These very stylish and well designed decorations in both the outer ring AND in the 'inner circle' have all been deeply engraved into the inside of this majestic glass shade. So these unique patterns are not the product of a transfer print of some sort, they are perfectly and deeply engraved in the glass (as shown in image 7) and therefor they are there to stay, forever. Apart from a Midcentury interior we feel that in the right space this three light flush mount could also work well in an Art Deco style and even in a contemporary interior. It radiates a beautiful warm light which will create the perfect ambiance in one of your living spaces. The equally beautiful and perfect condition brass canopy with matching finial at the bottom are the perfect finish to this rare size and superb looking flush mount, making it an absolute joy to look at. Both with the light switched on and off the presence of this light is really impressive. Thanks to the metal hook inside the perfect and height adjustable brass canopy, safely mounting this extra large flush mount tight to your ceiling (and over your junction box) will take no more than a few minutes. In our photos we had problems getting it to hang straight because of the 'wire sleef' (on our ceiling) that was in the way of the canopy, but on any normal ceiling this light will hang perfectly leveled. Mind you, this light will also arrive rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and you will be able to use three of your regular American bulbs of up to 100 watts each.
