About the Item
Gold leaf Gilt sunburst light fixture in wrought iron and cracked glass. Spain, 1950s.
This eye-catching ceiling flush mount is made in hand-forged iron and finished in gold leaf gilding.
It has curly iron rays alternating with iron leaves surrounding the central sphere. The central panel in cracked textured glass difusses the light.
Beautiful to be placed as ceiling light fixture and as a wall sconce or wall decoration. It could be used also as a pendant hanging from a chain at the desired height.
Nice patina and original gilding and beautiful design combining brutalist and baroque accents.
