About the Item
This pair of wall lamps was designed by Claus Bolby and manufactured by his own lighting company Cebo Industri of Silkeborg, Denmark in the late 1960s-early 1970s. The lamps have been constructed from layered strips of smoke-grey acrylic resin. The small bubbles trapped in the resin strips add texture and light effects as the bulbs are lit up. The lamps' acrylic faces are mounted onto aluminium frames, which hold the bulb and have a hole at the back to allow easy hanging from a nail or picture hook.
