About the Item
Pair of French Art Deco sconces in gold bronze and glass pearls by the designer Paul Follot, circa 1930. Original pieced that has been rewired. Paul Follot is an important figure of the Art Deco, he distinguished himself at the Salons des Artistes Décorateurs and even at Christofle. His style was soon characterized by excellence of form, borrowed from aristocratic, Louis XVI, Directoire and Empire styles. His private mansion in Paris's 6th arrondissement is the place to be for his exhibitions. His consecration happened during the Universal exhibition in 1925.
