Used by MOMA and dozens of other institutions. Made in the USA of heavy gauge solid steel with powder-coated finish inside and out. Each track can have just one or up to eight canisters operating a any one time. The only choice for the best galleries and museums in the world, Edison Price Lighting. A modernist look with all wiring invisible and a crisp look ensuring the objects being illuminated are the center of attention. The patent design also ensures when looking at the lamps there is no glare to the viewers thanks to the baffle system. Price was the father of modern Minimalist lighting for museums and galleries, made in the USA with quality that cannot be matched. Solid steel, powder coated finish, porcelain sockets, vastly superior strength in the pivots and arms with full rotation make these the first choice for the best galleries and museums in the world. The tracks will not bend or break and neither will the stems or any other components of these premium lamps. All lamps come with the complete baffle kit which includes the lens. This allows you to use the canisters without the baffle and lens, with the lens and baffle or just the baffle with each providing a different lighting effect. Coupled with these qualities is the 250 watt capacity of each lamp with the ability to fit LED, fluro or incandescent fixtures via standard screw size. This is the Sightline S series and while components are still available from Edison Price, the 6 foot track version and this model of canister is special order only. The build in power cord can extend 11 feet beyond the entry point and is rated for over 1500 watts of use with 15 amp capacity and designed for plug into 120 V systems. These tracks come with a dismountable fuse (15 amp), and is photographed drawing 1200 watts. You will receive the track with power source, six lamps complete with their baffles and lens. These are versatile as the track can be wall-mounted and the canister lamps used as wall washers. Mounting to ceiling or other objects is a simple enough operation for a qualified electrician and special drop mounting or other attaching fixtures are available from Edison Price via their agents. This set normally costs around $3,000 and is provided to you at an excellent price. This assembly as photographed weighs about 23 pounds. Will be shipped via FedEx. Track measures 6 foot, power cord 11 feet. Each canister measures 5.75" wide, 8.25" long 2.5" stem approx. with three having switches on the backs, three without. Perfect for objects of any period and especially Mid-Century Modern.
