Large American Federal Style Eagle Wood Carved Two-Light Sconce
About the Item
This wood carved and gold gilded antique sconce features a majestic eagle with spread wings beneath a tied bow. The candle arms are of patinated scrolled brass and very finely detailed with acanthus leaves and carved wooden drip pans. The red base paint is partly showing from under the rich gilding. The sconce is of fine proportions and is delicately executed.
Condition: Good. Small split in the back of one wing.
