Late 19th Century Mission Style Gas and Electric Sconces, a Pair

About the Item

Classic squared Mission style sconces. Originally has gas jets facing upwards with 4” fitter shades, and electric lights facing downwards with 2 ¼” fitter shades. Backplates are 4.5” square. Gas elements have been converted to electric, maintaining the aesthetic, but adapting for safe electrical use. Original key shaped gas cocks have been preserved. Brass has been cleaned and restored by hand, with a re-created antique brass patina. Replacement glass, in excellent condition, interior frosted. Provided measurements are of the sconces with glass. Complete and ready to install. Rewired. US Hardwired 120V. American, C. 1890.
