Pair of Antique Fourmaintraux Faience Wall Sconces from Desvres, France

About the Item

From France, this pair of three arm antique faience wall sconces are from Desvres, France. They were done by one of the Fourmaintraux family in the late 1800s. The letters, JJ and 1045 are marked on the back. The various colors are all painted on a white ground with motifs of scrolls, cartouches, flowers and foliage. There are holes at the top for hanging these sconces upon a nail right beneath the C-Scrolls. These wonderful faience sconces will add color to anyplace they are hung.
