Pair of Brass Torch Sconces with Shades, France 1940s
About the Item
A pair of 1940s brass wall sconces featuring two beautifully curved arms with elegant cone shaped torches. They have rectangular backplates with a fine beveled edge, frosted glass bobeches and new white fabric shades. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1940s.
Great vintage condition. These sconces were professionally rewired for U.S. use with new sockets and white fabric shades. A beautiful patina to the brass. Minor damage to the brass covers surrounding the sockets are inconspicuous. Each sconce accepts two candelabra light bulbs.
