About the Item
A sensational monumental pair of Italian mid-18th century, five light, mirrored giltwood Baroque sconces from Venice. Each extremely decorative sconce has elegant scrolled bottom supports, with beautiful foliate designs throughout. Each individual original mirror plate is framed within exceptional richly carved movements. All with finely detailed flowers, charming lattice designs, unique carved hanging tassels and centered by a striking seashell reserve. Each candle cup displays a lovely pressed metal bobéches. With all original gilt and mirror plates throughout. A very impressive wall decor and can be displayed beautifully over a pair of consoles or chests.
