Pair of solid brass five arm candle sconces designed by Tommi Parzinger and produced by Dorlyn Silversmiths.
No. 106 in the Dorlyn catalog.
Very heavy gauge solid brass.
Tubular brass candle holders removable for ease of cleaning.
Backplate 7.5" diameter. Mounts to wall with cleat bracket (provided).
Marked on verso "made by Dorlyn-Silversmiths" with a reversed P and R cipher for Tommi Parzinger (1903-1981) and Otto Rasmussen, a Dane who executed metalware for Parzinger. (See pages 338-39, 'Modernism in American Silver - 20th Century Design" by Jewel Stern.
These are for wax taper candles; not electrified.
