About the Item
A pair of 1960s wooden bedroom table lamps designed and produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for AB Ellysett, Markaryd, Sweden. Executed in fine pine strips and turned pine bases. Very delicate organic architectural lamp series. The thin wood acts as a lantern when illuminated, putting off an warm glow and showing off the figural properties of the wood.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
