19th Century Pair of Italian Cast Iron Griffin 'Winged Lions' Table Lamps
About the Item
19th century pair of Italian cast iron griffin 'Winged Lion' table lamps which have been converted professionally to lights in the workshop, and mounted on stepped ebonised bases. The Lion of Venice is an ancient symbol which has come to symbolize the city and dates back to the 12th century. The brass light fixtures hold a single bayonet bulb. PAT tested and rewired. Stunning and unique architectural pieces which are very heavy and well-made. Shades are not included. In very good condition.
