About the Item
Gorgeous Table or desk lamp designed by Original BTC, London model. The aluminum lampshade, matt black on the outside and white on the inside, has a hemispherical shape, which includes the arm or curved chrome-plated steel shaft, run by a spun cable that is intertwined in the structure itself, finished off with a base. circular. Its clean and refined lines bring a retro air to the piece.
Seeking to be able to closely control the entire production process of its parts, the company acquired Abbotts Manufacturing, a Birmingham-based metalworks, in 2011. Based in the heart of the country's metalworking industry, the hand of highly skilled work uses centuries-old techniques to weld, form shades, bases and components from sheets of brass, copper and aluminum.

Original BTC is an English family business, founded in 1990 by Peter Bowles. Design, quality and attention to detail are at the forefront of the products they produce. The 'Davey Lighting' and 'Beadlight' brands fall under the umbrella of Original BTC, including their products, skills and facilities. Headquarters are located in Witney, UK.
The company owns several production facilities dedicated to its designs; a ceramic factory, a glass factory and metal works. With showrooms in London, Paris, New York and Taiwan, they work closely with interior designers and architects who supply products around the world.
According to the founder himself: "My goal was to design and produce lights that you feel instantly at home with, that will fit comfortably for many years to come." Peter was one of the first designers to capture the appeal of the industrial style.
