One-of-a-kind lighted forms by Abby Kasonik featuring shades made from textiles by Kiki Slaughter, inspired by her original works on canvas.
Studio-made contemporary ceramic in a rustic neoclassical urn form. This undulating form is decorated in a chartreuse and white geometrical pattern over a textured surface. All live / unfinished brass hardware, twisted citrus cloth cord.
The custom pleated shade features “Marks”, hand-painted in a precise and defined array of colors

Abby Kasonik
Abby Kasonik holds a BFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, department of Sculpture. Her work has been featured in such publications as Southern Living, Virginia Living, the Huffington Post, and is in the permanent collection at the Fralin Museum at the University of Virginia.
