About the Item
Well-preserved Helo table lamp, a timeless classic from the 1950s. The slight difference between the beige, painted areas and the shiny brass parts gives the lamp a noble calm. Stylistically, the design of the lamp is based on the Bauhaus period. The lampshade is adjustable. The solid lamp is made entirely of brass and only partially painted; the inside of the shade is white. The desk lamp provides a bright, pleasantly glare-free light thanks to the curved shade and is very solidly manufactured. The design of the round, arched base with the switch is adapted to the shade: on the edge the profiled brass strip, on the inside the beige finish and in the center the round brass button, which can be used to release both the shade and the base. The umbrella is rotated via a ball joint and does not need to be locked, it stays in any position. The ball joint has two screws that can be used to loosen or tighten the joint. There is another adjustment option on the foot: The brass arm can be easily tilted forwards or backwards; there is an elongated opening in the foot for this purpose. This lamp was available in two sizes, the smaller version is offered.
The lamp is in good condition, unfortunately there are some red paint residues or similar on the base - see detailed image of the base. The power cord and plug were apparently replaced not too long ago.
