French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Ormolu, Bronze, and Marble Lamp
About the Item
A stunning French 19th century neo-classical st. ormolu, patinated bronze, and Rouge Griotte marble lamp signed Clodion. The lamp is raised by an impressive square Rouge Griotte marble base with a fine mottled border and elegant ormolu feet. At the center is a wonderfully executed handsome man draped in a flowing garment and standing in front of a tree trunk on a ground designed base. An ormolu pan flute rests at his feet while he is seemingly holding up a fluted cornucopia above his head.
