French 19th Century Ormolu Cherub Lamp, After A Sculpture By Pigalle
About the Item
A stunning French 19th century ormolu cherub mounted in to a lamp, after a sculpture by Pigalle . The lamp is raised by a circular ormolu mottled base where the winged cherub stands on etched grass where the signature is displayed. The richly chased cherub standing in a quaint pose has a quiver at his belt and a ribbon in his hair. Wonderfully executed throughout. With all original gilt throughout.
